TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions apply to any verbal or written agreement made between the Client and DJ Teez.
The booking and event details are detailed in the Booking Confirmation document. In case of any doubt, these Terms and Conditions apply unless specifically agreed in writing by both parties.
The Booking Form you have been/will be given contains details of venue, event theme, performance date and timings, agreed fee and any other special requirements. The Booking Form must be returned signed within seven days of receipt. Not signing or returning the Booking Form does not negate the validity of these Terms and Conditions. UK law as well as these Terms and Conditions will continue to apply to our agreement.
Any variations or additional requests must be logged on the Booking Form and agreed with DJ Teez in advance of the performance date.
No alterations may be made to this contract by the Client without prior approval or consent from DJ Teez.
By booking DJ Teez you understand that you are making a confirmed booking and entering into a contract which carries your acceptance, in full, of these Terms and Conditions.
The Client will pay a deposit at time of booking in order to secure the event date. The deposit secures the event date only and is not refundable. The deposit will be deducted from the total fee due. Balance of the booking fee must be paid no later than seven days before the performance date. Receipts or Invoices are available upon request. Cheque payments are accepted by PRIOR ARRANGEMENT but the funds must have cleared at least seven days before the performance and therefore must be paid a minimum of fourteen days before the performance date.
The Client will ensure that all appropriate venue licenses (including PRS), as required by law, are in force at the time of performance(s) and apply to the venue concerned.
The Client will ensure that the venue operators/owners will allow suitable time for the installation and dismantling and removal of disco equipment (up to 90 minutes each side of the booking times unless otherwise stated). Where appropriate, the Client will inform the venue organizers/owners, in advance, of any other specific requirements as detailed by DJ Teez
DJ Teez shall not be liable for any additional charges levied to the Client by the venue in relation to equipment assembly / removal timescales.
Sound Limiters: The Client will inform DJ Teez at the time of booking of any venue sound limiter installation. DJ Teez reserves the right to decline entertainment at venues with sound limiters installed.
Overtime Charge: Any extension to the agreed timescale will be charged in addition to the agreed fee per hour (or part hour), thereafter, which shall be payable in advance before commencement of extended entertainment. Overtime is charged in minimum hourly units on a pro-rata basis except for overtime after midnight which is charged at 1.5 times the hourly rate. DJ Teez reserves the right to refuse unscheduled overtime.
The Client shall have the right to cancel the booking by giving DJ Teez not less than twenty eight days notice in writing. The deposit is non refundable.
A cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed total fee will be due if the cancellation is between twenty eight and fourteen days from the performance. A cancellation fee of 75% of the agreed fee will be due if cancellation is between fourteen and seven days from the performance. The whole of the agreed fee will be due if cancellation is less than seven days from the performance.
The Client agrees to provide adequate supervision of guests and will ensure that venue management adequately supervises customers and or staff on site premises.
Where the function may include guests under the age of 16 years, the Client, (or parent) is responsible for the behaviour and safety of any minors attending the venue. The Client will provide and maintain adequate adult supervision at all times. DJ Teez will not be liable for the supervision of minors.
Any abuse from Clients’ guests, customers and or venue management or staff will not be tolerated and will result in the performance being terminated with no financial loss to DJ Teez. The Client agrees that compensation for any loss of or damage to DJ Teez’s(s) equipment, vehicle(s) or personal belongings caused by guests, customers and or staff may be sought including costs.
Force Majeure - DJ Teez will not be liable for failing to attend a booking, where the reason for non-attendance or late arrival is caused by adverse weather conditions (including Snow & Flooding), road closure, road traffic accident, vehicle breakdown, fuel shortages, acts of terrorism, industrial action, or other unavoidable circumstances deemed beyond our control.
The Client agrees that the confirmed entertainment start and finish times as specified in the Booking Form are accurate and correct. Any extension beyond the confirmed finish time is at the discretion of DJ Teez and the management of the venue.
DJ Teez will accept music lists and requests in advance of functions and will endeavour to play a reasonable number of the Clients' chosen requests, provided such requests are submitted in writing before the event. The Client also agrees that DJ Teez cannot guarantee the inclusion of any difficult to source, obsolete or deleted titles either requested at the event or previously notified.
Where the Client requests that DJ Teez set up DJ equipment at an earlier time prior to ninety minutes before the actual start of the function, the Client acknowledges that an additional charge will be made for this additional service, and that this service will be subject to availability.
Should DJ Teez be unable to access the venue to set up the equipment or is prevented from doing so by the Client or the venue management, and this leads to a delay in the beginning of the performance, the originally agreed performance end time will remain unchanged.
The Client will ensure that safe and adequate power is available for DJ Teez. Where the event is being held in a marquee, the Client will ensure that the work area is dry and that a minimum of 2 x 13A power sockets are located within 15 Metres of this area.
Bad Weather or impending bad weather on the day will not allow DJ Teez to commence entertainment out-doors under any circumstances. DJ Teez accepts no responsibility for damage to third party electrical equipment if caused as a result of working in inappropriate weather conditions.
DJ Teez is not liable for any delays or cancellations resulting from inclement weather, venue access difficulties, power failure or any other problems not within DJ Teez’ control.
